When I get my EP3, I was thinking the same thing, would like to raise the red line to 11, if possible. This is one of the coolest Honda Civic videos I've ever seen. Very unique build. Definitely, miss the drama and sweet engine sound. Coming from a k20a2 and f22c. The new motor doesn't sound as great. Revving it out with the sweet sound of vtec and hooning around town was a joy. The fk8 still fun but alot different. But yea I agree with yall.
Driveitlikeuboughtit Banned. I still want a DC5 Type R. Miss my S revs! Hence my handle. B18c5 will always be a classic. Coming from an EM1 and an s2k you have no idea how many times I've bounced off the rev limiter when going all out. That extra k RPMs makes a difference lol. Driveitlikeustoleit I think you hit it right on the head. I would argue that the majority of current cars lack it.
It's one of the reasons why I still have my S2K. Had a bad day, week, or month? Jump into that wonderful car, let the joy of driving overwhelm whatever is bothering you, and come home reinvigorated. I do miss the cross over noise and the high revs that I had in my S What's new New posts New profile posts Latest activity.

How can I tell the Vtec Engagement in a d16z6. Thread starter Dnguyen92 Start date Sep 23, Dnguyen92 New Member. Hello, I have aa 92 eg cx with a d16z6 swap. Why the guy went from a stock sohc to another sohc, I have no clue.
But How can I tell if it's even engaging? When does vtec typically engage in a d16 and what possible problems could cause it not to work? I know the easiest way to tell is from listening the header and exhaust when you're driving but I was red lining yesterday and I honestly couldn't really tell the difference. I was reading in another thread that if you're going past then you're in vtec but that doesn't seem very high in my opinion.
I was red lining at 8k's yesterday so any information will be greatly appreciated. Its there to help broaden the power band at higher RPMs. FLounder power hungry VIP. Just transition smoothly. It does not vary. A factory engine and tune does not kick like the noobs think it should. If it's doing that, time for a tune. Please do not just buy a VTEC controller, as this really is a half ass way of doing it proper.
I have an eg with a jdm h22a, and I don't care wat any one says you can feel the vtec, yes its smooth but u feel it pull a bit harder, you can call me a noob but I also had a crx wit a b16 and u felt it too, I'm just callin it as I see it, or feel it. But my h22 hits vtec at , idk about that the whole 6grand thing but maybe that's why your not feelin it as good.
But my h22 does the same thing wen u try to slowly go intp vtec, it feels like it just wants to be punched. In that case yea, u shouldn't be jerked at all. Like I said its smooth but you feel the pull, my bad I should have read slower, I'm partly retarted. MthaFuknGreen Green on the scene. MthaFuknGreen said:. And Mod Moderator. My H22a on stock chip pulled pretty noticeably At the strip the pull is kinda fun, but when my ET went from The S2k's is almost invisible as well.
I was in the k range a lot yesterday and never really noticed it. You must log in or register to reply here. Similar threads. Question Maybe blowed F22B1 '
