I was startled a number of times, and I liked that effect. The first half is high on the horror quotient, while the second half is higher on action. Action sequences are pretty good, especially that prolonged one towards the final act. Have to admit that Mahaakshay was brilliant at times, and made his character believable with his grounded performance. Music is brilliant but mostly when you listen to it separately. Cinematography and sound effects are also splendid.

For fans of action-horror films, this film will be an entertaining watch. But make sure to watch it in 3D. It really feels electrifying. Yes, in Bollywood fashion, it goes on forever and has random dance and song sequences, but they fit, and the movie is actually really a good story and kinda scary.

I may lack objectivity because the lead actress, Twinkle Bashpai, was ridiculously gorgeous in the role. Sadly, the film is nearly impossible to find I got lucky and found a single DVD copy for sale on Amazon and grabbed it up to watch again. If anyone has seen this movie, which I doubt, please comment Haunted is a spine chilling 3-D extravaganza offered by Vikram Bhatt. The director has created another enjoyable horror flick after movies like raaz, etc and has an excellent combination of horror and technical perfection.

The movie does entertain the viewers, but the storyline is seen many a time before and may result in a less critical acclaim for it. The 2. Synopsis::Rehan,a real-estate broker comes to sell an haunted mansion which has a sympathetic story behind it and tries to unlock the mystery there.

Performances::Mahakshay Chakraborthy earlier Mimoh Chakraborthy has certainly grown up in his acting skills from his debut movie Jimmy, but can improve more. Tia Bajpai Sa re ga ma pa challenge fame has done her role with full commitment and requires appreciation. Arif Zakaria does another good job as he have always done before. Music by Chirantan Bhatt is absolutely brilliant and amazing my personal favorite album of and the songs are really soothing to the ears.

All the songs ranging from a hearty ""Tum ho mera pyar " by K. Some -ves::The similarity of plot to films like Hawa. Verdict::Haunted is a visual treat for the mass viewers, who goes to the cinema hall to get entertainment only. The plot may be old and seen before, but is sure to scare you and is paisa vasool. This movie can be enjoyed only with 3D and dolby digital soundtrack. So remember to watch it in a good theater.

With these effects its pretty good , with the jolts and shocks coming regularly and keeping you interested. At first the movie starts dispiritedly , with the hero with a sadela thobda we will call him sadela thobda only having made a deal for a purani haveli so whats new?? As the movie progresses sadela thobda realises that the atma is that of a beautiful girl who has undergone some terrible misfortunes 80 years ago , and she looks up to him to be her saviour--go back 80 years in time to prevent those from misfortunes from ever happening But will sadela thobda want to return back to after completing his task , especially after being introduced to such a beautiful girl??

Well ,the movie does get interesting , especially in the second half , as it shrugs off the lethargy of the first half. The special effects and shocks and jolts are what keep the movie alive.

Trouble is , at least in the first half you feel that the director has paid more attention to the 3D effects rather than the story. But the deadly spirits that suddenly appear to almost hit you on the face due to the 3D effects do keep the action alive. There was a lot of laughing and sniggering going on among the audience , especially in the first half , but the girls were doing it more to hide their nail-biting nervousness. But watching this movie on TV or computer is no good--it can be enjoyed only in theater And in the theater it is good enough to give you a few scares S-- To tell a funny incident , the chief evil spirit is that of a man known as Aiyyar.

When sadela thobda is told that taking the name of the spirit increases its power , he deliberately decides to invoke and challenge it by calling ' Aiyyar '. But it does not appear , and he begins to repeat the name again and again. It still doesn't appear , and the audience began to laugh and snigger and began to chant ' Aiyyar , Aiyyar ' And this was supposed to be a serious scene!! I wish the director had avoided such inanity.

Having seen this movie on a 3D screen yesterday, my remarks: If you've seen one Vikram Bhatt horror movie, you've pretty much seen them all. The man is just shuffling and recycling elements from his earlier films, which weren't great to start with. As expected, the horror elements never get particularly nasty, and an abundance of songs and treacly romantic elements bring the pace to molasses slow.

Mimoh or Mahakshay as he now likes to call himself should be given an award for the longest period an actor has carried a single expression As a fellow movie-watcher pointed out, if there is anything at all notable about this film, it's that a South Indian character, an Aiyar, is for the first time presented as a raging villain instead of plain comic relief. The 3D does give a sense of depth to most of the visuals, but very little use of it is made in the story and there are all too few of the "throw things at the screen" elements that make a cheesy horror film in 3D fun.

First of all if you've seen earlier Vikram Bhatt's flicks and you liked it, you will like it as well. The story remains almost on the same theme as earlier but this times it come with the 3d effect. The movie visually is very appealing with all the make ups and effects. It lacks on the verge on sound effects. Being the first stereoscopic horror movie it achieves it and manages to thrill the audience. It has some scary moments and the 3d effect enhances them on a vast scale.

The romantic side is well stuffed in. The 3d effects are commendable. Overall I would recommend at least one watch for the great effort. If you love the horror genre you would like it. Watched Haunted for third of forth time. This has surpassed my ever loved bollywood Horror, Raaz Haunted has everything, its scared me as hell and the end broke my heart into pieces.

And believe me, im writing this review in May of and i miss this charm of Vickram Bhatt with his latest horror creations. The songs are just mind blowing. And acting of both new comers are fabulous. Its sad that Tia and Young Chakraborty didnt get enough chances to survive in the industry. At the end, all the thing led to sadness, only happiness is that the having the chance of grabbing a true bollywood movie experience. This movie is really good.

Mostly, it is just so easy to sit back in a chair and pass criticism for other's work. And I mean, bad one And, really, the story, acting, direction; lets say, movie as whole is not That said, Mahakshay has shown improvement here. The twists and turns of movie are good. And though the constant running of the protagonist and the OCD of the 'Evil Spirit' with you find out what strike amusing at times, I found the idea really digestible. So, the one's trying to put logic above all would IMHO not be disappointed.

I didn't get the chance to watch it in 3D, but the scenes like 'snake' and 'ghost chase' would definitely render good, hence, recommend you to take the 3D pick. Let me clarify in the beginning itself, the movie is a disaster. After all 3 D gimmicks and many more publicity stunts, the film is nothing more than a headache. Performance from the lead looks wooden. Tia or Twinkle or whatever is a little better than Mimoh or Mahakshay or whatever.

Story and screenplay the only good thing is adapted from the English movie 'The Entity'. Yes there are some good shots as well. Like the one in which a dead caretaker character wreaks much havoc like leaping out of a forest to attack the protagonists, and walking sideways down a tree to scare them. But rather than that, horror looks like the slapstick comedy.

The otherwise good songs creates an irritation in the movie. You cant expect some dance sequence before the climax scene of the movie. The movie is a one time watch in 3D and strictly avoidable in 2D. Vikram Bhatt as once again proved his excellent work by making another horror movie in all different style. Just to add a pinch of spice, this time its 3D. I was very impressed my Vikram Bhatt's previous work in and Raaz, and this he as even proved to be better.

The performance of Mimoh Chakraborty and Tia Bajpai is up to the mark. Even though few concepts in the movie makes you think how can it be possible, like- Ghost are powerful after 3am, How do Rehan goes to past ?

The movie as many chilling effects and visuals to be admired. Overall, a must watchable and more over Enjoyable too.. Very Good movie True Horror
