Sparrow and Crandall perform at the Bier Garten Tent at 1 pm. Strings Inc. Then on Sunday, the big event is the Strassenfest Parade. This takes place from 1 to 3 pm. As always, parade units will line up along north Jackson Street and on 15 th Street.
The parade begins around 1 pm and will take place in rain or shine. Hoosiers filled the streets of Downtown Jasper for the first day of Strassenfest Thursday and many of them like, Mike Hochgesang, excited to have it back. After sitting out a year, Keelie Dall, said she's more than excited to continue the annual tradition with her family.
Filled with dancing, singing and food Hoosiers were excited to come out and celebrate their German Heritage. For many years, Strassenfest has been a celebration of not only the city's cultural diversity but DuBois County as a whole. Taking place through August 5 -8, different events taking place each day to celebrate and those who attend just want to party all throughout the weekend.
